Protect our Homeless

UKIP councillors at Sheffield city councils first meeting of the New Year asked Sheffield city council to open one of the many council owned but unused city buildings for those sleeping on Sheffield streets to use this winter.
It was put to the vote in the council’s full monthly meeting on Wednesday 6th January.
How did the city of sanctuary council vote bearing in mind refugees are being flown to UK to be homed in Sheffield from half the world away?
All 4 UKIP councillors voted in favour of providing the homeless on our own streets with the opportunity to sleep in a warm dry building which was being unused.
ALL  Labour councillors, ALL Libdems councillors and ALL Green councillors voted against the proposal.
